I just love breakfast and I get grumpy when I miss the most important meal of the day. We Pinoys just love food that most of us eat 6 times a day (breakfast, brunch, lunch, merienda, dinner, and midnight snack). But nothing beats breakfast. A great breakfast is the perfect way to start the day.
Another restaurant I would love to try is π Breakfast and Pies by Chef Ed Bugia.
Yet another gem waiting to be flocked to by (since it has been discovered already), it has a lot of reasons why it should be your next breakfast destination!
Aside from the typical Eggs Benedict (called Eggs Benny in Breakfast and Pies), they have interesting gourmet waffles such as Salmon and Waffle at a very friendly price of PHP155! Topped with Salmon gravlax and fried capers, this will surely hit the tummy's happy bone! (Okay, that sounded weird and not just because the tummy doesn't have bones.)
They also have this breakfast platterπPlatter (PHP625) which has the following: eggs, bacon, beef belly corned beef, Hungarian sausage, pancakes, spinach with mushrooms, bagnet fat fried fries (that's tempting!!!), orange honey and siracha mayo. Whew! Far less expensive compared to the cheapest TWG brunch meal, this one will surely make two people full!
I'm also interested to try the Muesli (PHP165) as I just love anything with yogurt. The added crunch by the muesli and the sweetness of the honey will surely make this one something I'd crave for every morning.
Last on my list is the Crack Pie (PHP155/slice, PHP1150/whole) which has been named as a very close copy of New York's Momofuku Milk Bar's bestseller.
I guess another Maguinhawa/Malingap food trip is needed to be organized. :D
